Tower Empire is a game that is no where near finished, but I am working on it. This game is a real time strategy game. Playing the game consists of building towers and other types of buildings, upgrading them, building units and attacking the enemy. The world is 3D.

So far, I have designed the game to have 5 different buildings. There are:
  • Tower
  • Small defence tower
  • Resource collectors
  • Walls
  • Supply lines
There aren't really many units designed yet, but there are tanks. There will also be some type of flying units.

All the buildings will be upgradable in different ways. The tower's diameter and height can be increased, resulting in different changes in stats. A cool thing that will be able to happen, is that towers can be upgraded to be able to launch missiles/nukes.

I haven't programmed much of the game yet, but here is a screenshot of what I've done so far.
This is a screenshot of the game right now. I've got a lot of work to do on it before it will be finished.

You can only make cylinders and walk around the area right now. Those grey things in the screenshot are some cylinders. There is a skybox in the game with pictures rendered with terragen.

    Update: 3rd of September 2008
I have done a bit more to the game. You can now select your buildings and see some information about them in the information panel at the top right, with a line going to the selected building and a circle around the building. There are now differences in the way the buildings look and they now have a texture on them, but how they look is just a temporary thing during the making of this game and they will look a lot different at the end. Later on in the construction of this game, you will see more information in the panel and you will be able to upgrade and send instructions to your buildings, such as firing a missile at somewhere. Here is a screenshot of the game how it is now for you all to enjoy.
This is the later screenshot. Doesn't it look better?

    Update: 20th of September 2008
Ok today I will give you a later version of the game, but there is work I have done on it that is not included in this update. The changes in this version is that the ground now looks like grass instead of coloured squares. There is a concept of resources. You get resources every ten seconds and resource collectors increase the amount of resources you gain. You can upgrade towers and resource collectors. Once again I will give you a screenshot. The information panel has been enlarged to the entire width of the screen and two more lines have been added, which looks a bit messy. When the game is finished, it will look better and less messy than this.
