Here is the page of my journal type thing.

02/12/11
Hello everypony!

I have turned 18 and I have now finished high school! No more exams or assignments. I don't have a job yet and I don't know if/when I will be getting one, but I hope to create an income for myself using the internet. A passive income would be so awesome since I would not have to worry or do work. I could work on what I want when I want and for how long I want to, or not at all.

About how often I will update my journal: I have decided to not try to update it often just for the sake of having it updated, instead I will upate it when there is something significant to report.

My polyphasic sleeping attempt during the school holidays a long time ago I decided to quit and attempt in the longer school holidays instead, but then I decided not to do it. I am not really interested in anymore but I think I might still want to try it someday. Right now I am a little worried about negative health effects.

Something I am testing with this entry is a small program I made last night. It is designed to automate the updating of my journal. What I am doing right now is typing this entry into a blank text document. When I am finished I will save and close the file, then double click on my program. It will run for about 5 seconds and then exit. When it is finished, this entry should be added at the top of the journal html file and also put at the bottom of the index page, which is a new thing I have decided to do for my website. I think people who visit my site and might be interested in my journal may not decide to see it but if the latest entry is on my main page, people might be interested in reading it and learn more about me and this site, and everyone will be quickly able to see if there has been an update.

Anyway, as well as inserting my journal entry into those pages, it will automate putting in the date at the top of the entry and the formatting and stuff like putting a horizontal rule and line breaks to seperate it from the other posts. I also don't have to type
whenever I want a new line, since that is also done automatically by the program. It will change the "This website was last updated..." part on the main page to the current date. After all that, the program will connect to the ftp server where my html files are located and update them with the new files.

This program, along with having finished school makes it easier to update my journal and website and I have more time for it, so more frequent updates and content can be expected.

I am using Google Analytics now and my homepage is getting about 15 views per day. I don't have analytics for all my pages but for those which I do, I am getting a total average of 30 views per day. It is good and I hope it increases exponentially which would help me earn an online passive income.

This is becoming a large journal entry and there is so much to talk about, stuff that has happened over the last year where I haven't made any entries.

As you might already know from the first line of this entry, I am a brony. Bronies are the biggest internet meme right now and it is awesome, I like when we take over the internet. Anyway for those who don't know, a brony is a fan of the show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic who is a teenager or older, either male or female. MLP FIm is an awesome show and I like it a lot. My favourite pony is Fluttershy, she is so adorable, I love her.

I have been a fan of minecraft, I got it once I saw the review of it on Good Game, an Australian tv show. Minecraft is great, it allows building and creativity. Resources are gathered and crafted into other stuff. You can transform the world and build things to suit your purposes, like an underground safe house in deep mines. You could then make a tunnel and maybe a minecart track back between this safe house and your main base above ground. The freedom and ability to create is so awesome. Multiplayer can add a lot to this experience, you can start a town with your friends and work as a team to mine precious resources or defend each other from the monsters, explore derelict strongholds together, mabye even create an economy where you sell items to each other.

Minecraft is a beautiful game, I love the landscapes, sunsets and lighting. Here is a picture of one of my first worlds:

Over the last year, I have also been learning Blender. Blender is an open source software suite for 3D graphics. I have been getting better at it over time and I can make models in it for my 3d games but more important than that is that I can make animations. I have been making animations about minecraft mostly. Minecraft has simple objects and textures, I though it would be cool and easy to make an animation of it with more realistic textures. So I did and I put it on Youtube. I also submitted it to Reddit. The video got a much larger reaction than any video I made before, I was surprised and happy as a result. Encouraged by this, I made more animations and now I have built up a quantity of 1877 subscribers and my videos have a total of over 1.2 million views. I believe this is a good way to build up my online empire. I think I will continue doing animations about Minecraft and also other things. I have a section of my website about my Blender work, which you can find in the side bar or by clicking here. The video I am most proud of is Realistic Minecraft Animation Update, which currently has over 500 000 views.

Right now, I don't have plans to finish my Ytp anytime soon. Also now I don't think I should have my Ytp on my youtube channel, I am worried about getting into trouble with YouTube for copyright infringement or maybe not being able to become a YouTube partner. I am not planning on becoming a partner right now but I might decide to sometime in the future.

Over the past year I have been making some progress with parkour. I have done a couple of YouTube videos about parkour, I will probably make a parkour section on my website soon and embed the videos there. I am now able to climb higher walls, such as 3 meters in height. I am able to roll on concrete but I am not very good at rolling, I can't roll on concrete well when I have much momentum and I cannot jump off objects a couple meters in height and roll on grass without getting a bit hurt, I have to slow down and crouch, and I definately can't land a jump of a couple of meters on concrete. I have not spent very much time practising parkour, though. In the future sometime I might do some more serious training. But I can kong vault at least a meter and there is a river in town which I can jump over, which is lots of fun.

Now about Active Worlds. I have not done much on the bike factory and it seems my friends and I are very inactive. I did start an Active Worlds blog which is about tutorials and ideas but I only got 8 posts and I haven't done since I started it a while ago. I plan to continue it though, and I will have to renew my citizenship. I also plan to use it to create passive income by putting Google ads on it.

I have made a bit of progress with piano. I am now almost confident with playing Lon Lon Ranch and Mabe Village, and I am not confident but I have learned how to play a version of Winter Wrap Up, my favourite song from MLP Friendship is Magic.

I have not made much progress with Lucid Dreaming.

Recently I have spent weeks working on a new animation. This animation is a reconstruction of the opening chapter of the game Half Life, which involves a tram ride through the Black Mesa Research Facility. The idea is to try to give Black Mesa more realistic graphics, as Half Life is an old game with low quality graphics. I haven't finished the first room yet and I have a long way to go, but I am learning a lot and still getting better at Blender. I hope people will like my animation once it is done. Here is a preview image:

Minecraft recently got testificate villages. I have not tried the recent release of minecraft but in previous versions there were villages which would be populated by testificates. I thought it was great to have villages with different buildings and people who live in them, but the inhabitants did not do work or expand the village. I think that it would be cool to be able to watch a village expand. So I decided to make a computer program about that, where villages worked together to build and create. I haven't done much on it yet as I have been spending most of my time animating, but this simulation program is something I am excitied about and when I do work on it I will put it on my website and talk about it.

Another idea I have which I am excited about is a survival simulator. Originally I was thinking that it would only be for a zombie apocalypse, I am thinking I will make it flexible and moddable and allow others to help create it, and that it should be able to simulate all types of disasters or apocalypses or survival situations.
My idea of the main function of this program is for people to create a map of there house or place where a disaster might strike and include the supplies and survival gear that they have stockpiled in real life. They would also choose skills and knowledge for their characters that they have and know in real life. This would let them play as the game as though it was a real life situation and the players would be able to determine if the need or want to do more survival preparation. Of course, players don't have to play as though it is a simulation, they could create their fictional locations and characters to play just for fun.

In the last year or so I got a great game; Fallout 3. I like it a lot, I like to explore derelict buildings, towns and landscapes which are a victim of a thermo maybe half global nuclear war induced apocalypse. It is a beautiful game and I love the atmosphere. Fallout 3 is sort of an apocalypse simulator. By the way, Fallout: Equestria by Kkat is an awesome story, a crossover between the Fallout Universe and MLP Friendship is Magic. I have read all of the chapters written so far (43 at the time of writing) and it is a massive story, it is longer than Lord of the Rings. I always look forward to the next chapter.

An idea I have for my website that I think I will soon implement is a kind of status report, where I would have a table of stuff I am working on and show my progress for each project. People would be able to see what may get finished soon and can check out updates provided on each thing. They could also tell me if there was a particular thing they were excited about and I might decide to spend more time on that.

This did turn out to be a rather large journal update. See you later, but please send me a message about my work or my site or anything since I like messages and I would like to see what people would like me to make. I am about to find out if my program works. I hope it does. Kěyevame, bye.

Edit: It half worked. It updated the journal page but not the homepage. I must have spent about an hour trying to figure it out and it turned out I had forgotten to close the file after opening it to write. It should work now.

4/7/10
I am now on school holidays after surviving a night of finishing two assignments due on the last day of school for the term. So I am happy as a result. Unfortunately I have 3 assignments to do during these holidays. Hopefully I will be able to adapt to the uberman sleeping schedule well, which would give me more time to do the assignments and anything else I want to do. I actually started the schedule yesterday morning and I haven't slept for about the past 21 hours, but I am still alert. I will start sleeping during my naps as I get more sleep deprived, hopefully. It is 5:30 am and I'm excited about seeing the sunrise today. I am going to do a log about my experience sleeping polyphasically to hopefully help provide more information about it on the internet, as it is not well known. The page is here.

I found an awesome image here btw.
I can't think of anything else to say for now so bye.

16/6/10
I'm 17 and in grade 11 now and it's been a while since my last entry and I haven't done as many as I would like to, but I will still try to do more.

I'm now learning parkour and lucid dreaming.
Parkour is efficient and quick movement to get from one place to another on foot. It involves jumping, rolling vaulting and more. I've learned to roll as a landing to a jump from heights up to two meters so far. I'm in the middle of learning to roll on harder surfaces like concrete now. I can also climb a wall with a height of about a couple of meters and I can do a lazy vault over some railings. I have a lot more I want to learn though.

I got Mirror's Edge at Christmas time, which is a fun video game involving parkour. The player uses parkour to get around a city. I had known about parkour for a long time before that and I was interested in it but the game finally made me learn it.

Lucid dreaming is knowing that you're dreaming while you are dreaming. It is really good because it can be as realistic as real life and the dreams can be controlled to be anything a lucid dreamer wants, including flying or eating delicious foods. I've had several lucid dreams since I started learning it but they have almost always ended with me waking up only a few seconds after I realise I'm dreaming. Lucid dreaming can be learnt in different ways, the most popular involves regularly doing reality checks such as holding your nose closed and trying to breathe through it, to see if you're awake or dreaming. I do that a lot and I've sometimes do it in my dreams and I can breathe so I realise I'm dreaming. It can take a lot of time to get good at having lucid dreams and controlling them.

I also recently discovered polyphasic sleeping. I'm thinking about doing the uberman schedule for sleep which involves sleeping 20 minute naps every 4 hours, resulting in 2 hours of sleep per day. It is actually possible and people doing it successfully are usually more alert than they are otherwise. I will be trying it only in the upcoming school holidays as I probably won't be able to sleep at school, and doing it for long amounts of time at my age could affect any more growing I am going to do.

Recently I've been fixing up half completed maps I've been making over the years, putting them on my maps page and making video advertisements about them. There is the terrain train map, a zombie map, a transport roleplaying map and a cooperation map. I've also made a little bit of progress on my interactive YTP. 11 out of 19 parts are now done.

Not as much has been happenning in Lampert Village right now, but I've made some progress on my bike factory, which is still going to take a lot more work. Here are some pictures:

I have seen the movie Avatar by James and I think it's a great movie and it's now my favourite movie. And now I've seen it five times, once in 3D. I have also seen the entire english dubbed series of Death Note on Youtube.

Recently I had mid year exams. One of the questions in the English exam was: "A new book is to be published called Fear No Barrier: Journeys of Amazing Men and Women. Write a text, based on an imaginary person, that could be published in this book." When everyone got our results back, we were told that we were meant to write a biography while only about two people in the lass managed to figure that out. I don't like questions like that which don't make much sense. Journeys of amazing men and women still doesn't sound to me like life stories, more like stories of an amazing journey people have done.

I've recently found Steve Pavlina's website which has lots of great articles and his site is how I discovered polyphasic sleeping. I recommend others view his site. Just Google his name to find it.

In my Software Design and Development class at school, I am making an encryption program for an assignment. When I finish it I will put it on my website. I haven't made much progress with Tower Empire though. I don't get any suggestions or messages from my website. I wonder if anyone sees my website at all. If you are reading my website and have any thing to say about anything, it doesn't matter if it's about my site or not, you could tell me it through the site's main page, I'd be happy to hear anything.

I am making another journal entry type thing today and there was a couple of things that I had forgotten to talk about in the last entry and some other things. One thing I had forgotten to write about was my computer monitors. I now have four. It is great to have many monitors like that so I have so much more room for working with my computer. I have today updated my desktop backgrounds and I have a different one on each monitor which is good. I will show you a picture to prove that I have so many monitors and also to see what my computer and desk space is like.
My desktop backgrounds are all of beautiful landscapes, which I like. I usually find pictures from www.landscape-photo.net. One of the images are computer generated. Can you guess which one?

Another part that I had forgotten to talk about is a movie which I had watched since my journal entry in April. It is a Japanese anime film which I watched in Japanese with English subtitles, on youtube.
It is called Arashi No Yoru Ni and when translated to English, it is One Stormy Night. It is now my favourite movie. It is about a goat and a wolf who become friends by talking to each other while they can't see each other, while wolves usually hunt goats.

That is all I had forgotten to talk about. Now I will show you a picture of  my cat who's name is Candy. She is a cute cat.

I'll now talk about Black Mesa Source. It is a remake of the game Half Life, using the source engine. It looks very epic. It has been in development for many years and at the end of last year it was said to be going to be released this year. I can't wait for it. There is less than two months left and I am excited.
I am also waiting for Alpha Mapper to update. It is a great map thing for Alpha World.

That's the end of this entry. Farewell.

15/11/09
It has been more than 7 months since my last journal entry and I am 16 years old now. I should do entries and update my website more often.

My place in Active Worlds has grown exponentially with some of my friends contributing to it. The place now has a name, which is Lampert Village. It can also just be called Lampert. It isn't really my place anymore, the amount of work done on it by others may be about half or more of the total amount of work done there. I will give a list of the main things at Lampert village:
  • JimmyN.com Building
  • Welcome center (under construction)
  • Nature Walk
  • Flashcode's House
  • Yoshark's House
  • Antec's House (under construction)
  • Flappy's House
  • Dalaine's House
  • Flashshark Industries Laboratories
  • Flashshark Industries HeadQuarters
  • Flashshark Industries Hazard Training Course (under construction)
  • Flashshark Industries's Namiki Orbital Research Platform
  • Flashshark Industries's Music Tree
  • Flashshark Industries's Emergency Bunker
  • Upsilon Teleporter
  • Area 7 (under construction)
  • Area 7's computer game shop
  • Courthouse
  • Jail
  • Police station
  • Lon Lon Ranch
  • A small town called Ravenholm
  • Kasan Incident Tourist Attraction
  • White Forest Inn
  • Electric Bike Factory (under construction)
  • 4 Zombie Survival Forts/Shelters
  • Lampert Village Solar and Wind Power Plant (under construction)

  • I am Flashcode and Yoshark, Antec, Flappy and Dalaine are my friends. Flashshark Industries is a company in Lampert which was founded by Myself and Yoshark. Area 7 is a rival company founded by Antec.

The JimmyN.com Building still hasn't had much added to it since last time. It is still very incomplete. The nature walk hasn't changed much but I will give a picture of a scene of it this time.

Flashshark Industries is a large company which does research and develops new technologies. It works in areas such as physics, chemistry, biology and teleportation. It has an electron microscope, an anti-mass spectrometer and a nuclear bomb testing site. Here are some pictures:

Since my last journal entry, I have discovered a video game series called Phoenix Wright. It is about a defense attorney called Phoenix Wright. The games involve defending clients in court. It is actually a very good game series, in my opinion. Because of my interest in the series, I built the courthouse in Lampert Village based on the one in the Phoenix Wright games. I have made a control panel for the Judge to put on music from a Phoenix Wright game and they can also make verdicts in the same way that they happen in the game. The Defense and Prosecution have access to buttons at their desks in the court, to shout things such as "Objection!". Me and my friends have had a couple of good cases in Lampert Village, using the courthouse. Here's a couple of pictures:

The Lon Lon Ranch in Lampert Village is my attempt at making a replica of the Ranch from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time. Here's a picture:

So that's all in this journal entry for Active Worlds.

I still haven't updated Tower Empire. I will do that sometime, maybe in a year. I have started working on a new application which will be a toy. It will simulate nukes. I am learning 3D modeling too. I am learning using a great open source application named Blender. It is hard it learn but once I know how to use it, I will be able to do a lot. I will have to learn it before I finish Tower Empire or the Nuke Toy/Simulator, because I will need 3D models for them.

At school, I've finished all the exams for the school certificate. I don't have anymore homework or assignments, and that is great. I have done that student research project assignment from half a year ago. My experiment was about comparing the rates of evolution between organisms which reproduce sexually and asexually. I wrote a computer program to simulate this, and I found that sexually reproducing organisms evolve faster. I have put the my experiment program and the report I did on the experiment on the internet. You can download it here.

For a few months now, I have been teaching myself to play piano. So far, I have learnt to play the music that plays at Mabe Village in The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, and I have almost learnt to play the music of Lon Lon Ranch, from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I have just started to learn how to play Still Alive, the song from the end of the video game Portal. Maybe I will film myself playing piano and put it on Youtube someday.

I have put some videos on Youtube recently, though. I'm making a Youtube Poop interactive story. I have made a section on my website for that, so go check it out there.

I still haven't had many suggestions for my journal. I'd still like to hear any ideas you may have.

    2/4/09
My birthday is in a couple of days. I have almost finished term 1 of the school year and I am now in grade 10, for the second time. There is one week after this week until the end of term.I haven't gotten any decent journal suggestions for what I should talk about in my journal, so I will talk about anything I think I should talk about. But if you have a suggestion, I would still like you to send it using the form on my previous journal entry.

Recently I have been memorising digits of pi. I know 60 digits. Memorising pi is fun. Something else I like to do is play Minesweeper, a game that comes with almost all Microsoft operating systems. Incase anyone is intersted, my times are: 12 seconds for beginner, 79 for intermediate and 293 for expert. Most of my time at home when I'm not doing homework or school assignments, I probably spend playing computer games, like gmod. But sometimes I like to read things on the internet, such as debates or to learn about things. Sometimes, I may want to work on making something, like a map, or anything else I can think of that I am able to make. I haven't worked on my map of my school or Tower Empire or anything for a while, but I was thinking of working on them again soon, such as in the school holidays. There is this big assignment I have to do for school, though which is due sometime next term which I was planning to do on the holidays, so I may not have a lot of time to work on anything. The assignment is a student research project for my science class, where I have to perform an experiment on something. I am planning to do an experiment about evolution. I would be able to simulate evolution by writing a computer program.

I had been making a place in Active Worlds. Active Worlds is some software that is used to explore and make virtual 3d worlds. At my place there, I had been making part of my website but some parts are not finished being build or even started. Apart from my website, there will be whatever I want to build there, but I don't really have any ideas of what to build. So far, I had build a nature walking track and a pond with a water fall. I have become an Active Worlds citizen, which prevents my building from being deleted, among other benefits, but it cost about 100 Australian Dollars or something, to be a citizen for a year. I had been using Active Worlds for a few years, but now I had finally become a citizen, which I had always wanted to do. My place in Active Worlds is in a world called Alphaworld. If you would like the coordinates to visit this place, you should email me. Here is a picture of my place.

    6/1/09
That year of school is now finished and I am in the middle of some long school holidays yay. I have done an update to the website today that inlcudes pictures and colour. That should make some people happy. I can't really think of much to write about in this journal. Im not even sure if anyone reads it. I would like some people to tell me what they think I should talk about in these journals so I have provided a form here.

Also if you don't have any suggestions, you can click the button below just so I can know if anyone reads this.

    20/9/08
On my question page, I have made it so that you can type a question in a box and press submit and my website will email the question to me and recently, I have received several questions that I have responed to.

I've done some work on my tower empire game and I will post an updated version, even though I haven't done anymore on it since I said that I would release it after I had done more work on it to some people that I know. I have decided to release it now because I have decided that I will change many things in how the game works before releasing a new version and that could take a while. Anyway the version I am going to release today will give you the ability to upgrade towers and resource collectors. There is also resources in the game and building and upgrading uses up resources.

Work I have done on the game since the version I will release today is about units. I have made it so that a car can drive itself around to it's destination.

05/9/08 Since I started the website, I have put in a section about my games and put in information about games that I've made. I have been making this 3d strategy game recently called Tower Empire. After the first time I put information up about it, I did an update on the 3rd. Today I made the current version available to download on that page.

    30/8/08
    Today I started this website.
